SALMON & SPEYCASTING COURSE

This course covers all tackle and equipment needed to suit
a days salmon fishing and how it all works.
This will be demonstated and put into practice
on the River Liffey.
Run by Qualified Hardy Instructor Patrick Cleere.
It is designed both for beginners and
those wishing to improve their knowledge.

The course covers:

- Leader set-up and fishing knots
- The uses and advantages of SKAGIT, SHOOTING HEADS
and TRADIONAL SPEY LINES
- Fishing various densities of fly lines (floating to fast sinking)
- Fly selection
- Mending fly lines & stripping flies
The practial lessons will be flexible and will revolve around the conditions on the day

TROUT FLY FISHING FOR BEGINNERS

Experience the pleasures of the River Liffey and practice the art of fly-fishing. Run by Qualified Hardy Instructor Patrick Cleere, this course will provide an all-round introduction to fly-fishing. It is designed both for beginners and those wishing to improve their knowledge.

- Fly casting techniques.
- Leaders set-up and fishing knots.
- Choosing the correct tackle to suit your needs.
- Basic entomology.
- Fly selection.
- Watercraft.
The practial lessons will be flexible and will revolve around the conditions on the day
